Singer Byul recently expressed her hopes for her youngest daughter, Song-i, to pursue a career in broadcasting.
In a recent episode of Channel A’s “Dad is a Flower Middle-aged Man,” which aired on the 31st of last month, actor Shin Sung-woo visited a child psychology counseling center to gain insights into his son Tae-oh’s temperament. Shin candidly admitted, “As a parent, I’d be lying if I said I had no concerns about my child. My wife suggested we seek professional advice on effective discipline strategies and understanding our children’s personalities.”
The child psychologist analyzing Tae-oh’s test results noted, “He exhibits high social sensitivity, curiosity, and a free spirit. He’s the type who needs to follow his own path.” When Shin Sung-woo chuckled and remarked, “That sounds exactly like me as a child,” the expert explained, “There are genetic factors at play, so it’s natural for children to resemble their parents. Tae-oh is particularly sensitive and perceptive.”
The assessment revealed striking similarities between Shin Sung-woo and his eldest son, Tae-oh. When fellow celebrity Kim Won-jun asked, “How would you feel if Tae-oh decided to become a rock star in the future?” Shin responded, “If that’s his passion, I’ll support his choice wholeheartedly, albeit quietly.”
Actor Shin Hyun-joon shared his observations about his children’s potential, singling out his second son, Ye-jun, and youngest daughter, Min-seo, as showing promise in acting. He mused, “Seeing the legacy of actors like Kim Yong-gun and his son Ha Jung-woo sharing the same profession is both admirable and enviable. I’d be thrilled if one of my three children decided to follow in my footsteps as an actor.”
Byul, reflecting on her own children’s talents, commented, “None of our three kids have shown a particular inclination towards music yet. However, thanks to my broadcasting experience, my youngest daughter is often recognized in public. People approach us saying, ‘I’ve seen you before, you’re Ha Song-i!’ While she might not pursue a musical career, I can see her thriving in the world of broadcasting.”
