Stray Kids (스트레이 키즈) has achieved a historic milestone as the first K-pop artist to exceed 1 million album sales in the United States in 2024.
With their latest comeback album, ‘ATE,’ Stray Kids surpassed 500,000 single and album sales in the U.S., earning their seventh Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
As of September 30, ‘ATE’ is the highest-selling K-pop album in the U.S. for 2024 and ranks 4th among all artists worldwide, following Taylor Swift’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ Travis Scott’s ‘Days Before Rodeo,’ and Billie Eilish’s ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.’
The enthusiastic response to ‘ATE’ has propelled Stray Kids’ total physical and digital album sales in the U.S. to over 1 million units this year, marking a new record as the first K-pop artist to achieve this in 2024.
Stray Kids has demonstrated immense album strength by topping the U.S. Billboard 200 for five consecutive releases, starting with ‘ODDINARY,’ followed by ‘MAXIDENT,’ ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR),’ ‘樂-STAR (ROCKSTAR),’ and ‘ATE.’
Currently dominating global stages, Stray Kids has launched their newest world tour, ‘Stray Kids World Tour [dominATE].’ The tour kicked off with two sold-out concerts at Seoul’s KSPO Dome on August 24-25 and August 31-September 1.
The tour includes six stadium shows at Singapore National Stadium, Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, Kaohsiung National Stadium, Bangkok National Stadium, and Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Madya Stadium, marking Stray Kids’ largest tour to date.
Stray Kids will meet fans across various cities on the tour: Kaohsiung on November 3, Tokyo on November 14 and 16-17, Manila on November 23, Macau on November 29-30, Osaka on December 5 and 7-8, Bangkok on December 14, Jakarta on December 21, and Hong Kong on January 18-19, 2025. The group also plans to expand the tour to Latin America, North America, Europe, and more.
