MBN’s “Dolsing Singles 6” is reaching its climax, with four couples embarking on one-on-one dates just a day before the final decision.
The episode that aired on the 31st featured ten divorced singles—Mi-young, Bang-geul, Bo-min, Seong-seo, Si-young, Jeong-myeong, Ji-an, Jin-young, Chang-hyeon, and Hee-young—caught in a whirlwind of drama triggered by Ji-an’s sudden change of heart.
On the fourth night at the “Dolsing House,” Si-young and Mi-young shared a heartfelt moment on the terrace. Si-young offered support to Mi-young, a single mother of two, saying, “If you ever need help, just call. I’ll treat you to a meal.” Mi-young responded, “I’m rooting for all of us. I hope things work out with Bang-geul,” gracefully setting aside her feelings for Si-young.
Hee-young’s connection with Jin-young deepened during an intimate conversation. As they exchanged photos of their children, Hee-young confessed, “I never expected to meet someone here.” Jin-young asked, “Are you looking to meet someone?” Hee-young’s flirtatious reply, “We are meeting,” brought a smile to Jin-young’s face.
While this romantic scene unfolded, Ji-an, conflicted in her room, told Jeong-myeong, “I can’t stop thinking about Hee-young. I need to talk to her.” She then headed to the common area, where she encountered Jin-young, Bang-geul, and Mi-young. Ji-an requested a private chat in the caravan, where she revealed, “To be honest, during my date with Chang-hyeon, my thoughts kept drifting to Hee-young. I need to talk to her.” This confession stunned Jin-young. Ji-an added, “I’ll speak with Chang-hyeon first before approaching Hee-young,” and left for Chang-hyeon’s room.
In her conversation with Chang-hyeon, Ji-an admitted, “I enjoyed our date, but something felt off. I kept thinking about someone else who makes me feel at ease.” Unaware of Ji-an’s true feelings, Chang-hyeon was left shocked. Ji-an then called Mi-young and Seong-seo for another caravan meeting, asking, “I’ve cleared things up with Chang-hyeon, but what should I do about tomorrow’s final date?” Mi-young and Seong-seo candidly advised, “Your sudden change of heart might be hard for both Chang-hyeon and Hee-young to understand. You need to resolve this situation with both of them.”
Meanwhile, Chang-hyeon confided in Hee-young. Seeing Ji-an take Seong-seo to the caravan, he assumed Seong-seo was Ji-an’s new interest. However, Hee-young’s revelation that Ji-an had asked to speak with her left Chang-hyeon stammering, “Oh, it wasn’t Seong-seo, it was you?” Finally, Ji-an and Hee-young had their private talk. Ji-an expressed, “I wanted to understand why I feel so comfortable around you.” Hee-young asked, “Does your heart race?” When Ji-an replied “No,” Hee-young concluded, “Then it’s friendship, not romance.” Ji-an pressed for Hee-young’s true feelings, but Hee-young deflected, saying, “You’ll find out tomorrow.”
Confused and restless, Ji-an spent a sleepless night. The next morning, as the final one-on-one dates were announced, Ji-an was the first to stamp her date card, anxiously awaiting Hee-young’s response. Soon after, Si-young and Bang-geul, Seong-seo and Mi-young, and Bo-min and Jeong-myeong confirmed their dates. In a pivotal moment, Hee-young chose Jin-young for her date, making her feelings clear to both Ji-an and Jin-young.
Chang-hyeon, still reeling from Ji-an’s rejection, opted out of the date selection entirely. Back at the women’s dorm, Ji-an felt uneasy about being alone with Chang-hyeon, but Jeong-myeong advised, “If Chang-hyeon approaches you, try to have a conversation with him.”
During their final date, Bo-min expressed concerns to Jeong-myeong about whether she, as an “ordinary person,” could match with someone who had a “glamorous past in entertainment.” Jeong-myeong reassured her, “It’s all just surface-level; I’m not as well-off as you might think.” Encouraged, Bo-min shared, “My mother says meeting someone with children is actually a blessing,” easing Jeong-myeong’s parental concerns. The couple enjoyed a sweet date, holding hands and sharing a playful “foot kiss.” Bo-min hinted at a potential future together, responding to Jeong-myeong’s comment about not having more children with, “I’m close to being ‘DINK’ (dual income, no kids) anyway.”
Si-young and Bang-geul’s workshop date involved creating “couple photos” in frames. Despite the initially cheerful atmosphere, the looming “final choice” cast a shadow over Bang-geul. Si-young attempted to lighten the mood, saying, “It’s tough to make a decision by tomorrow,” but Bang-geul remained pensive. Observing from the studio, hosts Lee Hye-young and Eun Ji-won expressed concern, noting, “Bang-geul’s feelings are still a mystery; she’s not giving Si-young any clear signals.”
The much-anticipated final choices of the ten divorced singles will be revealed in the ninth episode of “Dolsing Singles 6,” set to air on the 7th at 10:20 PM.
