Celebrated chef Edward Lee (에드워드리) is set to appear on the JTBC show ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ (‘냉장고를 부탁해’), which will begin airing this December.
Chef Edward Lee, a distinguished culinary figure who won ‘Iron Chef America’ in 2010 and has served at White House state dinners, has gained considerable popularity in Korea, most recently with his runner-up finish on the hit cooking show ‘Culinary Class Wars: Kitchen Hierarchy’ (‘흑백요리사: 요리 계급 전쟁’).
Currently based in the U.S. and managing his own restaurant, Lee will travel to Korea specifically to take part in ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,’ bringing his culinary prowess and competitive spirit back to Korean television. Known for his bold dishes and relentless innovation, viewers are eagerly anticipating what Lee will bring to the show’s famed “fridge hell.”

‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,’ launched in 2014, played a pivotal role in igniting Korea’s “cookbang” (cooking broadcast) craze. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the JTBC show will be produced by original team members, including director Lee Chang-woo and writer Kang Yoon-jung, raising expectations for a highly anticipated revival. After a five-year hiatus, loyal fans are excited to see the return of the beloved show, eager to discover what new twists await.
Director Lee Chang-woo commented on the relaunch, stating, “We’re striving to keep the originality of ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ intact while exploring new formats and featuring a variety of guests. We hope viewers will support the show as it returns with a fresh look and exciting lineup.”
Set to start filming in November, the highly anticipated new season of JTBC’s ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ premieres in December, where Edward Lee’s culinary journey will continue as he navigates the challenges of the show’s unique “fridge upgrade project.”
